SLOW TOURS
Discover, learn about, understand, contact and experience artistic dimensions, landscapes, gastronomic practices, ethnological traditions and forms of culture in the interior of Portugal.
On our SLOW TOURS we offer the possibility of discovering, getting to know, understanding, contacting and experiencing artistic dimensions, landscapes, gastronomic practices, ethnological traditions and forms of culture in the interior of Portugal.
Our offer is based on the appreciation and close collaboration with local communities: also through Tourism, we want to contribute to the recognition and sustainable development of the territory where we operate.
We adapt our offer for couples and/or families, small or large groups, companies and team-building.

We are specialists in the entire Alentejo region, and we travel to the capital and the southern coast to show you the traditions and ways of life that are changing as you cross borders. We try to understand our visitors’ preferences so that they can take away an impressive experience of faces, colours, textures, flavours, speech and songs.
Because Cultural Heritage is essentially people and the relationships we build with them.
SPRING SLOW TOURS
Color, color and more color... it never repeats itself, even when the color is the same, the sounds are more open as if they were now clearer, we go out into the countryside to celebrate this time of pilgrimages and festivities, a celebration of fertility, and we always eat soups made from wild herbs, such as beans with thistles or purslane, which are still growing well into summer. Slowly, patiently, we gain the stars as our nighttime program, lying on the ground, in the middle of the dark countryside, or sitting on the steps of the house with our eyes turned upwards.
Golden time for short or long trips.
SUMMER SLOW TOURS
Only the churches protect us from the heatwave, or the waters of the river beaches that are now available to sow here. Summer festivals, which town and village do not have, and the artists who work hard never end... the stars take on a more unobtrusive role, and so does the fresh food. You can see the cork oaks taking on a new look and the facades of the houses becoming whiter. The hustle and bustle of the harvest is approaching. The day starts very early and we all take a siesta: at that time, it is as if time stands still around here.
Well, early in the morning or just before sunset, unique occasions for short walks.
FALL SLOW TOURS
First thunderstorms heralding the departure of the heat. Cattle fairs and the like. Preparations for the olive harvest and the movement of trucks on the roads. Hotter soups - dogfish or mogango with beans - and the arrival of dried fruit. With the first rains, the landscape gradually returns to less homogeneous color palettes: the grape harvest covers everything in a brick red with endless shades. Hunting returns. Last chances for building improvements. And we prepare religiously for the dark and cold of winter.
A golden time for short or long walks.
WINTER SLOW TOURS
Singing to the Child, woodcutting near the parish church, hunting season, catacuz and carrasquinhas soups, heated new wine for those who like it, sowing cabbages, garlic, potatoes and onions, fattening up the lamb and opening doors to air out the spaces: these are the winter months here in the Alentejo. Did we mention how a deceptive snow covers the fields early in the morning? Did we mention the smell of fires lit as soon as the sun goes down?
It's a delicious time for long walks.
Because Alentejo culture is a result of the strong connection between people and nature, we suggest that you enjoy it in the rhythm of the Four Seasons and Local Festivities.
Discover our annual offer of unique, seasonal experiences that will take you on gastronomic, cultural and natural tours, slowly crossing paths with the built heritage and the people who live here.
